Just doing what I do and loving it. I've always wanted to be a mom and a wife and God has given that to me. I'm new to this blogging thing, so let me know what you think!

Saving

There are two things today that have been heavy on my mind and both of them have to do with saving, but two very different forms. I have just started to really get into couponing, to make my small grocery budget stretch even further.  Yes I was prompted by the new show on TLC "Extreme Couponing."  I don't ever know that I will ever get that extreme, but saving as much as I can would be so wonderful.  So I embark, and will be starting on the first of May to save as much as I can by comparing 5 different stores with their sales and matching up the coupons.  Yup it is very time consuming, but I am going for the challenge!  So if any of you (i know you are very few) know of anyone who doesn't use their coupons I would love to take them, and then I can get the most savings!  So that is the first thing and then today there was a lot of things that happened to make me think of a differnt kids of saving.  The saving of my Lord and savior.  There were a record number of tornadoes last night and many people lost their home and even their lives.  And the world lost a great preacher today who went home to be with the Lord.  David Wilkerson, was such an amazing man of God, and even though he will be missed, his legacy will live on!  But without the saving of Jesus where would he be, still lost as would the hundreds of thousands that have been touched through his ministry.  I am so glad and thankful for the Lord and his saving!  So as I end this day, I know that there is much to be thankful for in this life and that I can pursue my own savings, but ultimately the only saving that is truly worth it is HIS!!

A cleaner life!

It's crazy, ever since I started this blog yesterday, I am constantly thinking and wondering what I can blog about.  So today's blog is about a cleaner life.  Truthfully I am not the best housekeeper, it has always been an area that I have struggled in since I was a teenager.  I remember telling my dad when he said my room was a mess and that I would always be messy that "when I had my own house it would be different."  Well I wish I proved him wrong but that is still something I struggle with.  I am going out on a limb here and being honest for basically anyone to see, and this is a hard thing.  But why am I talking about it?  Because my niece Sarah, recently pointed out a book to me called "31 Days to Clean: Having a Martha house the Mary way"  This book really intrigues me, the lady who wrote it is an average person just trying to do her best.  There is a 31 day challenge that she is starting the 1st of May, and I can't wait to get started!  Just by blogging about this book here, I am getting a copy for free, although the price is on 4.99 normally, something I would have paid to read it.  It looks like a good book and a good journey to get a cleaner life. Not only is it going to focus on the clean house but also the clean heart.  Every day there is a "Martha" task and a "Mary" task.  So come along for the journey and join me, I am sure I will share a little of each day in my blog and encourage you as you take the journey as well!  So will you come along too?

The beginning...

This is the first of many blogs I hope to have.  I admit part of my reasoning for blogging was to get the opportunity to be given things to blog about.  But then I realized this could be so much more.  It could be an encouragement for you and for me.  So this is what I hope to achieve in this blog.  I have been so blessed in my life, I admit sometimes I don't realize all the blessings He has given me!  But then all i have to do is look at my wonderful husband and 3 beautiful healthy kids and I know.  So let's encourage each other, I want this blog to be more than just me, but you as well.  Let me know if I can pray for you, or encourage you in your journey, or maybe if you have a product you want tested out, I can do that too!  This is just the beginning of something new, and making the most of what God's given me!
